What I am writing in school #1

It occurred to me that in addition to my weekly reading lists, it might be nice to detail what I am writing (since that’s the whole point). So here we are. Since this is the first installment, a recap of what I have already written:

– a 10-page short story, “Sabbatical”
– a 3-page short short story exercise, based on the John Cheever story “Reunion.”
– a 3-page short story (unfinished) written from a child’s point of view
– a 1,000-word travel essay entitled “The Best Place for a Drive (that’s not about the driving) in Hawaii”

This is what I will be working on this week:
– a five-page paper on the relationship between form and content in the Alice Munro short story “The Moons of Jupiter.”
– a 1,350 word travel essay (haven’t decided on a topic yet)
– a short story (yeah, need to get started on that)
