autumn in Boston-land

B. and I went for a long walk today along the Charles before he had to catch his plane back to San Francisco. It was (at least earlier today) a fine fall day: lower 60s, sunny and a little breezy. We took the T to Harvard, then walked the few blocks over to the riverside path by Memorial Drive. We trekked all the way down to the Kendall T stop, cutting through MIT when we got tired at the end. I guess it was a couple miles or so.
The trees along the river are starting to turn, though not as much as you’d think. A sailing class was going on out in front of the MIT boathouse.
There’s one tree on my street that has turned a vibrant yellow, though all of the others remain stubbornly green.
