First of all, I’d just like to point out that it was 1.6 degrees on the thermometer when I got up this morning. Yes, you read that correctly: Not 16, but 1.6. Good times.
Second, a question: How many books can one grad student read in a 13-week period? Is it humanly possible to read 24 books in 13 weeks? Or more to the point, is it possible to read 24 books in 13 weeks while also actually getting some writing done? I think we all know what the answer to that question is.
Third, there are supposedly Chinese and Iraqi terrorists roaming Boston with a dirty bomb. Some questions: If these Chinese terrorists were previously unknown, as they say in the news reports, why does the FBI have close-up snapshots of them (pasted up in every T station) And what do the Chinese have against Boston? And if you were a terrorist, would you still attack after the press reported that you were planning to attack? Doesn’t terror lose its edge without the surprise element?
