Northern California authors not too shabby

There was a mini article in the San Francisco Chronicle yesterday about how many of the finalists for the National Book Critics Circle Awards are from the Bay Area. Among those NorCal writers getting the nod, Michael Pollan, for The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals, and Jason Roberts, for A Sense of the World: How a Blind Man Became History’s Greatest Traveler, two books with very solid spots on my reading list.
